Prague

Prague 960 720 I am Phab Bebington

Our train journey from Budapest to Prague was very difficult in terms of getting help to lift nth wheelchair onto the train even though i had emailed about getting accessibility for the wheelchair to be lifted onto the train, we managed by ourselves to get onto the train and our journey wasn’t too bad once we arrived in Prague we managed to get off the train in time and we found our way to the hotel.

Hotel Tivoli was a lovely hotel very close to the old town areas and when we arrived we noticed their were steps and straight away realised that it wasn’t accessible even though they had said it was, once we settled they offered for any further help regarding the wheelchair which was great but wasn’t needed as our room was accessible enough apart from the shower but the room was big enough for the wheelchair and their were lifts to get from floor to floor which were spacious for the wheelchair.

Highlights

Our time in Prague was just fantastic we absolutely loved it and we definitely would go again, whilst in Prague we seen many amazing sights ranging from Wenceslas statue to the old town square and the Charles bridge and many more the accessibility for the wheelchair was pretty good as most of the area was flat but again it was cobbled which wasn’t too bad but it did cause problems again for the small wheels on the front of the chair, whilst we were in Prague we went on a tour around Prague castle which was fantastic and our tour guide was kind enough to offer help if we came across steps but thankfully we didn’t and our tour was fantastic, we managed to see the astronomical clock but it was having work done so we couldn’t really get to see it as we would have liked, Prague is certainly a fairytale city everywhere you walk it is full of history and their are so many amazing sights to see and the history of the square and the castle is amazing, we would definitely recommend booking tours in Prague wether thats a bus tour or a guided tour in the castle or around the church’s if you do book tours around the church’s be aware that their may be steps so be sure to double check the accessibility for wheelchair access.
